When we pray we are to believe God by Faith.

Posted by Mike Taylor on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, In : Home Family Relations

And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the...

"HOW TO PRAY FOR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, January 24, 2016, In : Home Family Relations

Paul and Timothy had heard about the good things happening in Colossae and were inspired to write the church a letter. In their letter they explained how they were praying for the church. Their example shows us how we, too, should pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Specifically, it shows us how we should pray when we do not know of a specific need they have.

"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with th...

"...and he will heal us..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, January 17, 2016, In : Home Family Relations

"...and he will heal us..."

Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto...

"The Milestones of Consistent Prayer"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, January 3, 2016, In : Home Family Relations

A mother came to me in tears. "I have prayed until I don't know if I can pray anymore," she said. "My daughter has turned away from God, and it seems the more I pray, the more trouble she gets into, and the further away from God she goes. I have carried this load so many years!" She looked at me with sad, weary eyes and asked, "Do you think there is still any hope for her?" I did my best to assure this praying mother there is hope! We discussed Galatians 6:9: "And let us not be weary in well ...

"Prayer for the Hurting During the Christmas..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, December 21, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).

Christmas is the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" for many, but a difficult time for those who are hurting. During this holiday season, let us not forget to pray for those who are hurting or who have experienced loss.

Pray God will undergird and strengthen the hurting w...

Jesus - we sure do need Him.

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, November 15, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

We sure do need Him now
Oh, we sure do need Him now
Oh, Lord, we sure do need Him now

If we ever needed the Lord before
We sure do need Him now
We need Him every day and every hour

We need Him in the morning
We need Him in the night
We need Him in the noonday
When the sun is shining bright

We need Him when we're happy
We need Him when we're sad
We need Him when we're burdened
Just to make our hearts feel glad...

If we ever needed the Lord before
We sure do need Him now

"...how I trust Him..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, July 20, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word,
Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!

How I love to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood.
Just in simple faith to plunge me
'Neath the healing cleansing flood!

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust ...

Life this week: Faith is always good but a Religion is not enough.

Posted by Mike Taylor on Friday, July 17, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

To believe in God: Jesus is always good and most of us as Apostolic Christians are glad we do. But to have Faith in the Christian Bible is also good. However, that alone will often eventually result in a Religion such as a Christian Religious belief in God some refer to as associated with a denomination.

A Christian Religion is not what the Christian Bible tells me God sent his only son into this world for us to receive. God sent Christ to die for our sins so we will receive and have Salvation...

Life this Week: I still love the Old Testament...

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

Those who are saved know the New Testament is the Word of God by which we believe in Jesus and got saved (Acts 2:38 KJV process). But I really love the Old Testament. There never seems to be an end to seeing God in His unique manner concerning His Godly People from the Old Testament in relation to others. I remember when I did my years of detailed Home Bible Study Training many years ago, every time we went into the Old Testament for examples to help explain the New Testament Scripture we got...

It is Past Time to Arise...

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

This is a sad day [June 26, 2015] in America when SCOTUS can legislate above the Law of God. I sent the White House the following message: "I fear for my country. This is not the same country I grew up in."

God fearing people: It is past time to arise...and let us lift up our voice in one accord. If we could get 1/2 of the 300,000 + churches in America to rise up and lay hold of the horns of the altar this country would turn in the right direction.

I could not have said it any better than the f...

We can say: "Well It's All Right..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Friday, June 26, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

Well, it's all right...all right
Well, it's all right...all right

Long as I've got my Lord beside me, well, it's all right
Long as I've got His hand to hold
Long as He's a watchin' over my soul
Long as every thing's in His control, well, it's all right

Well, it's all right...all right
Well, it's all right...all right

Moses said, "It's all right"
When chariots of pharaoh followed them in their flight
Well, the sea divided in two, moses and the children walk right through
Through a wall of water on their ...

Shattered Pieces

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

My husband had just gotten off the phone with another minister who asked prayer for his only son who had left the Lord. I felt a burden so heavy in my heart that I started to call out his name to the Lord in prayer. I got up from my chair to make myself some hot tea, and then returned to my chair to pray. As I reached for my favorite cup, it seemed that another cup close to it flew off the shelf. I closed my eyes tightly as I heard the cup crash unto the floor unusually broken into a million ...

"Most Americans Look so Kindly on Churches, They Might Even Go Sometime"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Friday, June 5, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

Many Americans today don’t think they have a place for church in their lives.

“But they believe the church has a place for them, when or if they are interested,” said Scott McConnell, vice president of LifeWay Research, which issued a new survey Wednesday (June 3) on perceptions of religious denominations.

The findings show that as many as 45 percent of Americans will look at the church brand on the sign out front — Catholic or Baptist or Methodist or whatever — and drive past, thinki...

All areas of our lives...

Mothers Day and a Lady Expression

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, May 10, 2015, In : Home Family Relations
“Usually adult males who are unable to make emotional connections with the women they choose to be intimate with are frozen in time, unable to allow themselves to love for fear that the loved one will abandon them. If the first woman they passionately loved, the mother, was not true to her bond of love, then how can they trust that their partner will be true to love. Often in their adult relationships these men act out again and again to test their partner's love. While the rejected adolesc...

"Why Should We Pray?"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". ~ Edmund Burke

In my opinion, for far too long, the church has taken a passive role when it comes to politics. I guess I have to be honest and forthcoming to tell you that I don't really believe it is possible to separate "church" and "state". You see the Bible says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all th...

"Mothers Who Pray" by Darla Brochu

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, In : Home Family Relations
Some of my fondest memories are centered on hearing my mother pray after we children were in bed.  I would listen intently as she talked with God because I knew she would call my name. She would be asking the Lord to watch over me, to protect me from evil, and to draw me closer to Him. Once I heard my name, I could then go to sleep, content that all was well.

Growing up, we were taught to pray and to believe God for a miracle when we needed one. Every answered prayer was a miracle!

We are liv...

"Let God Arise"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, April 27, 2015, In : Home Family Relations
Hear the holy roar of God resound
Watch the waters part before us now
Come and see what He has done for us
Tell the world of His great love
Our God is a God who saves
Our God is a God who saves

Let God arise
Let God arise
Our God reigns now and forever
He reigns now and forever

And His enemies will run for sure
The church will stand, she will endure
He holds the keys of life, our Lord
Death has no stake, no final word
Our God is a God who saves
Our God is a God who saves

Let God arise
Let God arise

"...Thinks Christianity Has Become Too 'Feminized' "

" Former 'Real World' Star Thinks Christianity Has Become Too 'Feminized' "

Somehow, a recent Fox News discussion about the Islamic State's recruitment strategy veered into another equally urgent issue: the "feminized" church.

Rachel Campos-Duffy, best known for her stint on MTV's "The Real World: San Francisco," appeared on Tuesday's episode of Fox News’ “Outnumbered” to discuss the recent arrest of six people in Minneapolis and San Diego who were plotting to join the Islamic State.

Yet C...

"Will Drop in International Adoptions Lead to More In-Country Placements?"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Thursday, April 23, 2015, In : Home Family Relations
International adoptions plummeted to a 30-year low for U.S. citizens last year, with further declines expected. But some see the trend as an opportunity to help children remain in their home countries.

The U.S. State Department released its Annual Report on Intercountry Adoptions in March. Between October 2013 and September 2014, officials granted 6,441 immigrant visas to children adopted abroad, the lowest level since 1984. A tidal wave of international adoptions started in the late 1990s an...

"Flood-ravaged Colorado braces for more rain"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, September 16, 2013, In : Home Family Relations
Coloradans have been praying for rain, but this past week’s weather is not what they were asking for, as last year’s “summer of fires” has suddenly turned into this year’s “summer of floods.”

In the past five days, parts of the state have received a year’s worth of rain. The deluge was supposed to take a break Saturday night, but the entire Front Range is under a flash flood warning—from the Wyoming border south 130 miles to Colorado Springs—until 6 p.m. Sunday, as more sto...

They said some interesting things about: “Child Care Choices: Au Pair, Daycare or Nanny?”

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, September 8, 2013, In : Home Family Relations

…You knew you loved your child the moment you held her in your arms. Or maybe you knew when you first saw the double lines on the at-home prego test. Either way, your child has become your universe. You’ve had his puke, tears and poo on your finest clothes and barely batted an eye. You’ve rocked, soothed, shushed and cuddled until you could literally see the adoration oozing from your pores. Your conversations and Facebook updates are all about him. Yes, he’s become as important to yo...

"About 2,000 Chinese parents now teach their children at home..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, September 1, 2013, In : Home Family Relations
"Education comes home in China"

Chinese parents concerned with structure in government schools are starting a new but fast-growing trend in Chinese education. About 2,000 Chinese parents now teach their children at home, according to a survey of about 18,000 parents who have expressed interest in homeschooling.

More than half of the homeschooling parents told the Education Research Institute, a Beijing-based NGO, they made the choice because of the teaching philosophy in Chinese public schools....
