Paul and Timothy had heard about the good things happening in Colossae and were inspired to write the church a letter. In their letter they explained how they were praying for the church. Christmas is the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" for many, but a difficult time for those who are hurting. During this holiday season, let us not forget to pray for those who are hurting or who have experienced loss.

Our confidence to approach God's throne in prayer over our finances is based on the blood covenant of Jesus Christ: not because we are good people and we mean well, nor because we have financial difficulties and we have needs!
