"The Milestones of Consistent Prayer"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, January 3, 2016, In : Home Family Relations

A mother came to me in tears. "I have prayed until I don't know if I can pray anymore," she said. "My daughter has turned away from God, and it seems the more I pray, the more trouble she gets into, and the further away from God she goes. I have carried this load so many years!" She looked at me with sad, weary eyes and asked, "Do you think there is still any hope for her?" I did my best to assure this praying mother there is hope! We discussed Galatians 6:9: "And let us not be weary in well ...

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High...

"...the judgments of the Lord are true..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Sunday, August 16, 2015, In : Christianity Apostolic

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his cir...

"...the joy of the whole earth..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, July 6, 2015, In : Christianity Apostolic

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.
Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish...

All areas of our lives...

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, June 1, 2015, In : Home Family Relations
In the Christian Bible, we must obey the New Testament practical instructions in every area of life: attitudes, values, adornment, dress, sexual morality, marriage and others.

"Philosophers Accuse Intact Families of Unfair Advantage"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, In : General Information

“Equality” is one of the watchwords of our time. It's invoked in nearly every political, ethical, and increasingly, social discussion. And lately, it's gone completely off the rails.

Once upon a time, “equality” was the rallying cry of patriots and abolitionists—the good and true belief that “all men are created equal” in the sight of God, are equal in dignity and deserve equal rights before the law. But today, “equality” means something very different: It means sameness.

And ...

"United Methodists: Practicing Homosexuality Doesn't Contradict Christian Doctrine"

The United Methodist Church leadership has voted to submit a proposal to the 2016 General Conference that would remove “prohibitive” language about homosexuality from the United Methodist Book of Discipline.

The proposal removes homosexuality and the performance of same-sex weddings from the church’s list of chargeable offenses. Under the proposal, United Methodist pastors would be able to perform same-sex...

"...nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine..."

Posted by Mike Taylor on Friday, May 15, 2015, In : Christianity Apostolic

...If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
For therefo...

"Open The Eyes Of My Heart"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Monday, May 11, 2015, In : General Information

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You

To see You high and lifted up
Shinin' in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You

To see You high and...

"Why Should We Pray?"

Posted by Mike Taylor on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, In : Home Family Relations

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". ~ Edmund Burke

In my opinion, for far too long, the church has taken a passive role when it comes to politics. I guess I have to be honest and forthcoming to tell you that I don't really believe it is possible to separate "church" and "state". You see the Bible says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all th...

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
(From: Acts 2:38 King James Version, KJV).

AND
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit witha...

The 64th National Day of Prayer is fast approaching, and will be commemorated on

This focus emphasizes the need for humanity to cry out in prayer to God who is sovereign over all governments, authorities, and people - and who is able to hear us! Millions of people will join in prayer at thousands of events across America.

The Bible instructs u...
