"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". ~ Edmund Burke

In my opinion, for far too long, the church has taken a passive role when it comes to politics. I guess I have to be honest and forthcoming to tell you that I don't really believe it is possible to separate "church" and "state". You see the Bible says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour" (I Timothy 2:1-3); With this being said, I feel it is a mandate as a Christian to pray for our government and our leaders as well as policies and laws that impact our society.

There are many important issues being presented in both state and national government right now that can profoundly impact our lives as well as the church. We must pray! But along with prayer our voice needs to be heard. Let me encourage you to get involved. Vote! Write your representatives and let them know as a constituent, you trust they will make godly and wise decisions for your state or district.

As a Christian and "Ambassador for Christ", I want to do all I can. Will you join me?

Blessings,
