Those who are saved know the New Testament is the Word of God by which we believe in Jesus and got saved (Acts 2:38 KJV process). But I really love the Old Testament. There never seems to be an end to seeing God in His unique manner concerning His Godly People from the Old Testament in relation to others. I remember when I did my years of detailed Home Bible Study Training many years ago, every time we went into the Old Testament for examples to help explain the New Testament Scripture we got a better insight into God's Divine Power.
I know some people (such as Atheists and others) like to refer to the Old Testament as showing God's "evil" with lots of killing, cannibalism, war, wickedness, bias, favoritism and such alike. But they are Spiritually blind. And like others, they only see the so-called "evil" they want to see. I see the One True God who is still unique and Divine in all aspects of life. He (God) still has control over all things because He is still all powerful and all present in every aspect of our lives. The Old Testament Godly characters also know that and rejoiced in God for choosing them to be His People with the demonstration of great and might powers.
A recent example of this is the story of Naaman (the man with Leprosy) who was healed but only after Elisha (the man and Prophet of God) intervened on his behalf with the Power of God (2 Kings 5: 1-14 KJV).
2 Kings 5:15 KJV then said:
"And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant."
Therefore, you can understand what I am saying. And there are many more diverse and unique examples like that mentioned from the Scriptures above that are all over the Old Testament. That is why I never get bored or tired of reading it over and over again for new revelations and old reminders. One of the recent reminders had to do with the Prophet Elisha and his very special relationship with God.
